Artificial intelligence (AI) has been applied in the field of robotics to enable robots to perform complex
tasks. Robotics focuses on creating machines that can perform tasks with no human intervention, such as
repetitive work or in environments unsafe for humans. AI-enabled robots are built with systems that emulate
the human mind, make decisions, and learn. Robots can range from children’s toys, industrial machines used
in manufacturing, self-driving cars mapping our streets, to life-like androids that look and converse like a
human.
