Meet the Curator
Danielle Kane is the computational research librarian at UCI Libraries, where she assists students with
computation tools such as R, Python, Unix, Git, ArcGIS, and more. She has more than 16 years of
experience implementing new services and technologies and using programming in her own research. A
certified Carpentries instructor, she runs the Libraries’ programming workshops program and is the
creator and botmaster of the Libraries’ chatbot, ANTswers. Kane holds a BS in geoscience and a master’s
in library and information science from the University of Arizona.
