Christina Acevedo is a communications and events coordinator at UC Irvine Libraries. She writes content for the Libraries' newsroom, edits exhibits, and helps with special events. She earned her BA in English and Spanish from UC Irvine. In her personal life, Christina enjoys gardening, needlework, amusement parks, and playing musical instruments. Stephen Anderson is the exhibits coordinator at UC Irvine Libraries. An internationally exhibiting artist, he previously served as the executive director of the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA) and as the Exhibits and Education Coordinator at the OC Fair & Event Center. He has designed and organized numerous exhibitions, particularly within the downtown Santa Ana art scene. Stephen holds a BFA from California State University, Long Beach. Cheryl Baltes is the director of communications at UC Irvine Libraries, where she heads library communications and special events and co-leads the student display and exhibits programs. She has more than 20 years of writing and editing experience in fields from computer science and engineering to history, digital marketing, and education. Prior to joining UC Irvine, she was the director of business operations for Shores Editorial Services and the managing editor of IEEE Computer Graphics & Applications and IEEE Annals of the History of Computing. Cynthia Johnson is the head of Reference, head of the Grunigen Medical Library, and chair of the exhibits program at UC Irvine Libraries. She manages reference services across the libraries and oversees the Grunigen Medical Library. She has more than 30 years of experience in academic libraries. Before coming to UC Irvine, she worked at the Pratt Institute Library in Brooklyn and the Barnard College Library in New York.
